“The pain in my mouth was getting worse – I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep. It was awful. One night, I felt I couldn’t take it anymore. I was in a lot of pain. I was planning to go to A&E when I remembered I could access Teladoc Health’s virtual GP service through my work. I was desperate to speak to a doctor and be reassured. The sleep deprivation was making me think it was something serious.
I requested a Virtual GP appointment through the app. The doctor I spoke to was really kind and reassuring. I was on the phone with the doctor for over 20 minutes. There was no rush for her, and she’d listened to everything from start to finish.
The doctor diagnosed me as having chronic tooth pain and provided me with a prescription for pain relief medication. She also gave me a referral letter to a dental pain clinic. I have now had the tooth extracted, and I feel so much better.
