I was aware that I could eat high-calorie things, such as burgers from well-known chains, but was also aware that they carry low nutritional value. Unfortunately, I did not know how I could eat better and maintain a healthier high-protein diet, which typically comes with low-fat content.
I booked a consultation with Teladoc Health in the hope that they will be able to look at my day-to-day diet and give me some tips on how to introduce healthy fats and other foods, including a variety of recipes. Within my one-to-one session, I received a clear diet plan and tips to help with the preparation for my sporting event and with maintaining my nutrition during the challenge. Previously the quantity and quality of food I was consuming were not right, but the better food choices finally provided me with high-calorie and healthy meals to enjoy.
Since finishing the event, I had another challenge on how to reduce my calorie intake in a healthy manner. I reached out to Teladoc Health once again and have now been given a sliding scale that will allow me to retain my physical shape but reduce both exercise and food consumption.
