“I was truly worried about my health. The responses I received from my GP were insufficient, so I sought a second opinion. I decided to try Teladoc Health’s Virtual GP service, which is accessible through my employer.
The Virtual GP was excellent; he suspected an abdominal aortic aneurysm and advised that I should be seen urgently. Thanks to his referral, an ultrasound appointment was made; I was transported by ambulance shortly after that and underwent vascular surgery the following week.
The initial surgery resulted in a hernia that expanded significantly and was uncomfortable. My GP recommended a wait-and-see approach, but I was unhappy. I contacted the Teladoc Health Virtual GP service again and received another referral soon after. Within ten days, I underwent another operation.
From all the test results, the hospital identified markers that suggested early-stage prostate cancer. I have started treatment and will begin radiotherapy very soon. If I hadn’t received that early referral, the necessary investigations might not have occurred, potentially leading to major surgery in a couple of years instead of receiving injections every three months and some radiotherapy.
My very positive experience with Teladoc Health’s Virtual GP has significantly boosted mine and my family’s mindsets. It is incredibly reassuring to receive prompt medical attention through Virtual GP referrals.
The Virtual GP service is both swift and professional. I am sincerely thankful to the Virtual GPs I spoke to.”
