Deliveroo gives their riders access to our 24/7 virtual GP consultations

Deliveroo boosts rider benefits with access to 24/7 virtual GP consultations

“Deliveroo has today announced that all UK riders will now have access to free virtual GP appointments at the touch of a button. The offer is the first of its kind in the sector and marks another expansion of the benefits Deliveroo offers its self-employed riders.

All UK riders can now consult with a UK-registered GP 24/7 via phone or video, completely free of charge. With nearly 2 in 3 (61%) Brits not confident that they could book an NHS GP appointment quickly at a time that suits them, this new offer from Deliveroo ensures medical advice is always available to its riders.

The service, operated in partnership with insurance firm Chubb and healthcare provider Teladoc Health,  also allows riders to discuss any medical concerns with a UK-registered GP at a convenient time for them.

The industry-first virtual GP offer is the latest in Deliveroo’s ongoing commitment to support rider growth, welfare and development. Last year the company announced a package of 1,500 online educational courses to support riders and their families by broadening their learning and development.

This new benefit also sits alongside a wider package of benefits which includes free insurance, sickness cover and financial support when riders become new parents. Deliveroo was also the first company in the industry to offer free and comprehensive insurance, paid for by the company.
