Amit talks to us about his role and shares his top tips for achieving a healthier lifestyle.

What role does a Clinical Lead play at Teladoc Health?

A Clinical Lead’s primary role is to provide support and performance management to the Teladoc UK Telehealth GPs.

In particular, the role involves responding to clinical queries, GP training, as well as auditing service outcomes and supporting ongoing clinical standard improvements.

Can you describe a typical working day (or week) at Teladoc Health?

Every day is slightly different which is great. A typical week will usually include responding to clinical queries and administration, teaching, and training our GP team, supporting clinical operations, referrals management with our internal service leads, liaising with business reporting analysts, IT, and product development teams.

Can you share an example of how you have helped patients coming into the service?

I was heavily involved in the creation of pre-consultation questionnaires for patients requesting telehealth consultations. These have successfully enabled us to identify urgent clinical cases which may require a priority call. In addition, the questionnaires enable us to gather important information for our consulting GPs so patients get the best experience from their consultation.

What do you most enjoy about working for Teladoc Health?

I enjoy working with different departments within the company and the variety of work the role brings.

What is the professional achievement you’re most proud of?

I have always had an interest in medical education and was proud to have completed a post graduate diploma in medical education and strategic leadership. This has given me invaluable GP teaching and training skills.

What do you like doing to relax and take care of your wellbeing?

I enjoy going for long woodland walks, and usually drag my children with me!

What is your go-to snack during the day?

Usually, fruit or nuts.

What’s your typical breakfast?

Granola and yoghurt, followed by a cup of tea.

What are your top 5 tips for people looking to achieve healthier life?

  2. Take regular exercise
  3. Hydrate well
