IWD2026: Meet Georgina Howe

Author: Georgina Howe, Country Manager at Teladoc Health UK

To celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, we’re celebrating and introducing key women here at Teladoc Health UK, without whom our virtual healthcare delivery wouldn’t be possible.

Meet Georgina Howe, Country Manager at Teladoc Health UK.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your work

I lead Teladoc Health in the UK which means I am ultimately responsible for ensuring we are delivering in terms of patient outcomes and experience, clinical quality and safety, operational efficiency and financial sustainability (and more!). In practice, I spend most of my time focused on our clients and how we will continue to evolve our proposition.

Why did you choose your job role?

I have only ever really wanted to work in health and wellbeing and the role at Teladoc really came about because of a chance conversation. But I decided to accept because of the people I met and the opportunity I saw to take the business forward. I haven’t been disappointed!

Can you tell us about one of the most memorable moments in your Teladoc Health career?

For me it would be the seamless launch of our new technology platform late last year. It was the culmination of a bold vision, excellent planning and exceptional execution – that was only possible because of great collaboration across the business. There is always risk with such a big change, but it couldn’t really have gone more smoothly and we’ve had brilliant feedback on the result as well.

What do you most enjoy about working for Teladoc Health?

The privilege of leading the best team who are delivering fantastic services for our partners and patients – with an impressive group of female leaders within it too!

In light of IWD 2026, how do you think that female patients in particular can benefit from our services?

I think the convenience and accessibility of our model is fantastic for women, particularly those who are juggling work alongside other responsibilities and for whom making appointments in person or in normal business hours can be challenging – or worst of all, mean they don’t get to them. We know that Women’s Health in general has not been as well catered for as it should be. Our services, with clinicians with the time to listen and access to the right expertise, are brilliant at supporting women across a wide range of Women’s Health topics from contraception and fertility through to menopause and beyond.
