“I’ve used this service before because scheduling an appointment with my local GP can be quite challenging. It’s a fantastic alternative.
In my previous experiences, it proved helpful since I received consultation notes from the medical professional. I could present these notes to my local clinic if I needed further tests, like a blood test. It really saves time for everyone involved.
Receiving a diagnosis of arthritis in my 30s was quite disheartening. When I couldn’t reach my GP, I turned to Teladoc Health’s virtual GP service. The Teladoc Health doctor referred me to a specialist hospital hand clinic.
I strongly advocate for this service. The ability to schedule a phone or video consultation at a convenient time is perfect, especially since my wife and I work full-time.
Without access to this service, I would have been stuck waiting for my GP, and I likely still waiting. You need to call at 8:00 AM to get in line, and if you miss that window, it creates a frustrating catch-22: you must have an urgent issue to get seen, but if it isn’t urgent, you can’t schedule an appointment. They only address urgent matters, but even then, you’d be redirected to urgent care anyway. It’s quite complicated.
Getting an appointment for issues that aren’t immediately urgent is challenging, yet neglecting them often leads to worse problems. That’s where this service shines for me; I can secure an appointment and receive guidance on whether to be concerned or to take action.
